About Rhapis Palm (Large)

One of the smaller Palm varieties, Rhapis Palm is an absolutely gorgeous plant to have in your home. Rhapis Palm has deep green fan-shaped foliage adding a tropical accent to a room. Rhapis Palm is believed to have been first featured in Japan Palaces. It has been stated that Rhapis Palm does not grow in the wild but is cultivated in China. When grown outdoors it could reach a height of about 14 feet. But the domesticated and container-grown Rhapis Palm grows to about six feet. These fronds are broader and fewer in number (usually around five to eight leaflets) when compared to most of the other Palm varieties. The leaflets of Rhapis Palm are blunt and slightly toothed rather than pointed. The stems are quite sturdy too. Rhapis Palm is quite a slow-growing Palm and tolerates varied temperatures, watering, and light and humidity conditions making it one of the easiest plants to maintain and add to your space.
