About Peace Lily (Large)

Part of the Araceae family, Peace Lily is a tropical evergreen plant that adds a stunning dimension to a space. It has deep green foliage with white or off-white flowers blooming elegantly on a slender stem. Peace Lily is native to Central America and Asia. In its natural habitat, it grows on the forest floor under the trees enjoying a lot of humidity and dappled sunlight. Peace Lily is not a true lily but is named so as the flowers are similar to Calla Lily. The leaves of a Peace Lily plant grow from the soil medium and are bright green in color & waxy giving them a glossy appearance. The flower of a Peace Lily is in fact the white spike and the white cover is the modified leaf. The flower blooms on a slender stalk with its white leaf hood and is quite long lasting. It is the white blooms that resemble white flags of peace and hence the name Peace Lily. Although Peace Lily does not need a lot of care & attention, it could be slightly temperamental at times but with the right understanding, it could be an amazing addition to your home.

Peace Lily does well in medium to bright indirect light as well as shaded outdoors which receive bright indirect light. Peace Lily can survive low-light conditions too but might not flower/bloom.

Peace Lily does well in a wide range of temperatures but does not like extreme temperatures

Peace Lily needs to be watered once a week or twice a week. This could increase during summers and reduce during winters. Peace Lily does not like being overwatered.

Peace Lily loves high humid conditions. So, in dry weather you might need to mist the plant to maintain the humidity levels.

Peace Lily is not a heavy feeder and would need a mild fertilizer every two months or so and none during winters.
