About Philodendron Wendlandii (Large)

Part of the Philodendron genus, Philodendron Wendlandii is a rare one to find and makes a bold statement with its bright green foliage. Philodendrons similar to Wendlandii exist in South America in tropical forests and swamps. In Greek, Phileo means 'to love' and dendron means tree, and probably named so as in their natural habitats they are epiphytes growing on trees. Philodendron Wendlandii has long and lance-shaped green leaves and grows outward as they mature upward. It does not trail or vine like most of the Philodendrons. Philodendron Wendlandii thrives well indoors but could do well in shaded outdoors too as long as it does not get exposed to direct sunlight and is protected from extreme temperatures. Philodendron Wendlandii gaines height and width as it matures, usually reaching a height of approximately four feet. It adds a stunning accent to your space with its colorful leaves making it difficult to go unnoticed. Philodendron Wendlandii is quite an easy plant to maintain and an elegant choice for your space.
