About ZZ Zenzi (Medium)

Part of the Araceae family (same as Peace Lily's family) and a rare one to find, the ZZ Zenzi plant is an evergreen tropical plant with distinctive eye-catching dark green foliage. ZZ Zenzi is short for Zamioculcas Zamiifolia which was sort of difficult to say and hence shortened to ZZ Zenzi. It is native to drought-prone Eastern Africa where it thrives outdoors and grows huge in the ground. ZZ Zenzi plant offers thick waxy leaves growing symmetrically from the bottom of the stem right to the top. ZZ Zenzi Zenzi is a dwarf cultivar of ZZ Zenzi plant and has sort of curly leaves. The stems are in shaped like a wand which are fleshy & thick at the bottom and taper to the tip. ZZ Zenzi plant grows bulbous potato-like rhizomes that store water for the plant making them drought tolerant plants. ZZ Zenzi plants are categorized as one of the plants which can't be killed due to lack of attention and care and in fact, it thrives when neglected.
