About ZZ Green (X-Large)

Part of the Araceae family (same as Peace Lily's family), the ZZ Green plant is an evergreen tropical plant with distinctive eye-catching dark green foliage. ZZ is short for Zamioculcas zamiifolia which was sort of difficult to say and hence shortened to ZZ. It is native to drought-prone Eastern Africa where it thrives outdoors and grows huge in the ground. ZZ Green plant offers thick waxy leaves growing symmetrically from the bottom of the stem right to the top. The stems are in shaped like a wand which are fleshy & thick at the bottom and taper to the tip. ZZ Green plant grows bulbous potato-like rhizomes that store water for the plant making them drought tolerant plants. ZZ Green plants are categorized as one of the plants which can't be killed due to lack of attention and care and in fact, it thrives when neglected.
